How do I get my 5 week old to sleep in his cradle?

My son is 5 weeks. Ever since I have brought him home he will not sleep in the cradle. I put him down once he is asleep and eventually once he has been put in there he cries. He will stop once I get him out. Is it too soon to let him cry it out?

7 month old waking at night

My son is almost 7 months old. For the past month and a half he has been crying in his sleep. We used to be able to give him his pacifier and he would stop for a while. Now he is actually waking up and screaming. Some nights are horrible and he wakes up 10+ times.

They doctor said he has acid reflux and put him on Prevacid which didn't work. We later switched to Axid which also seems to not be working. He does not ever spit up and I am very worried that it is not Axid but something more serious.

Naps time for my 6 1/2 month

by Becky

Hi,

My daughter has been a fabulous napper and sleeper until now. She just started crawling or scooting around and seems to not want to go down for nap time or only naps for about 1/2 hour each nap.

My schedule is up for 2 hours, then down for naps up to 3 naps a day and down for bed between 6-7:30 and wakes about 6am. Also, when i put her down in her crib now, she cries- not hard, but cries and sits up. I usually lay her on her stomach and put in paci and then rub her back and shhhhhh her in her ear and put on the sound machine in the dark. Worked like a charm until now.

She just started solids a week ago and I feed her rice cereal at night along with her daily intake of milk. How do I get her to nap again? Do I let her sit in her crib and cry it out? Use the Ferber method and go in and soothe her every 5 minutes? how long does she need to nap total at this age? THANK YOU!!! Becky

My 10 month old won't sleep through the night

by Janice
(Miami, FL)

My son started sleeping through the night at around 8 weeks (6 hours). He's been doing great, but then all of a sudden last month he started waking up and crying at around 2pm.

At first we thought he'd go back to sleep. But after 45 minutes, he was still half-crying and stirring.

We're at our wits end. How can we get him to go back to sleep?

exhausted,
Janice

6 and 1/2 month old baby doesn't sleep!

by Kim
(Anaheim, CA)

I need a nap!!

I need a nap!!

My 6 and a 1/2 month old daughter barely sleeps so that obviously means that mommy never sleeps as well and I've read all the books and all that stuff and nothing has helped.

I am lucky if she takes 2 1/2 hour naps a day and at night (oh man) I put her down for bed about 7:00 pm and she wakes up crying almost an hour to the minute later every single night.

Once she's back to sleep she's up again either every hour or every 2 hours crying or whining. She's got to be exhausted because I know I sure am!! What can I do to help her sleep straight through and maybe, possibly get her to nap????

Your website is very helpful and I discovered a couple of great online stores. 'Cause I'm not a big reader, it is very nice that I can find the most important information through your website.

Thanks Heather! Your Milestone eBook is SO detailed and so correct. My son is doing all or most of the things and many are not mentioned in the usual books/sites. Great job and keep it up!

My baby refused all bottles until you showed me the MAM bottle. Thank you so much for the recommendation. I wouldn't have known about them if not for your website.
