C-section pregnancy

by Kathy
(FL)

Ok I see all kinds of questions for pregnancy after a c-section. My problem is a little different and oh so much more embarrassing. I just had my second daughter who is now three months old. I live with my boyfriend of 7 years, we have two daughters and things were going great. He has two other children by his first wife.

Last night we had a few hours to ourselves and had a few drinks. Keep in mind I've not drank any alcohol in a year or so. I got messed up and so did he. Normally that wouldn't have bothered me, the kids were at my moms we are two adults. We usually use condoms because I cannot take birth control. Last night we didn't due to the alcohol. I know you are more likely to get pregnant right before your period, which I have not had mine for December and it is already the 29th.

I am so afraid that our one night without the kids will destroy things. I would like to have another baby but I wanted to wait until it was safe. I keep reading about friends of a friend that have died because it wasn't safe when they got pregnant. My baby is only 3 months and I have no idea what to do. I am trying to tell myself that there is no point in worry about it until I actually know if I am or not but one seed of doubt is all I need.

Does anyone have any advice, any true stories. My mother had me and my sister very close my sister was 2 months old when she got pregnant for me, but she had a vaginal birth, not like me with a c-section. Any help would be an answered prayer.

Is it possible?

by Miranda Enochs
(Cape Fair MO.)

I have a daughter that is seven months old, I had her by cesarean section, my doctor told me to wait for two years to have another baby, but I am now three to four weeks pregnant. I am in a huge panic thinking that pregnancy this soon will possibly make me miscarriage. Is it possible to have a healthy baby this soon after a cesarean section?

Could Scar tissue heal over the stitches?!

by Clara
(Oak Harbor, Wa)

So at my appointment my stitches were not removed because my doctor said they would come out on their own. Well, here it is 8 weeks later and my scar (which is completely healed over) feels like the stitches are still in there!!! Is this raised line normal? Should it feel like a string in there? Or is it just how the scar tissue heals?

The scar still hurts a little bit especially on the ends, its not excruciating just annoying...but is it possible that the stitches never came out and scar healed OVER them closing the stitches in?

(Seymour, TN)

I had a c section 3 weeks ago...Above and across my cut.

It feels like a very hard muscle or something. Is this normal?

Your website is very helpful and I discovered a couple of great online stores. 'Cause I'm not a big reader, it is very nice that I can find the most important information through your website.

Thanks Heather! Your Milestone eBook is SO detailed and so correct. My son is doing all or most of the things and many are not mentioned in the usual books/sites. Great job and keep it up!

My baby refused all bottles until you showed me the MAM bottle. Thank you so much for the recommendation. I wouldn't have known about them if not for your website.
