Playtex Ventaire: A Mixed Review

by Sara
(Jefferson, WI)

Our 3 month old loves these bottles. I was under the impression that bottles chould go into a bottle warmer. Our son likes the bottles to be warm also.

After a few weeks of use the bottles stared to leak. We thought we were putting them together wrong, so I called the company. The lady told me that the Playtex Ventaire bottles should NOT go into a bottle warmer! It causes the disc to expand and contract (which makes sense) and then causes it to leak. She told me to boil water and place it in there.

In a few weeks it will not be a problem, because we are switching to formula and we can use hot water. But now it's breast milk. If it said on the box that you cannot use a bottle warmer we won't have gotten these bottles - let alone there are a lot of parts to them!

Labels peeling off bottles
by: Jamie S

Hello, I have a 4 months old son and have had to call pletex twice to replace all of my Playtex ventaire bottles. After washing the bottles and sanitizing them the label begins to wear off so you cannot see the measurement.

They have been more than helpful each time and have sent me gift cards so that I may replace the bottles and a label to send them back but now all the replacement bottles labels have peeled off too! They are now sending me new bottles straight from their warehouse so hopefully these ones don't do the same as all the others. They say I most likely got them from a bad batch.
