Time for a Phone Call!
by: Heather ;-)

Angela,

First of all, hives are little red raised splotches of skin that itch like crazy. (Do a Google search on "hives rash" and then click on "Images" in top left corner to see examples.)

Hives are a sign of an allergic reaction, which would also make sense if you can't get it to go away.

Give your doctor a call and ask if an appointment is necessary. He'll probably ask you if you used a new lotion, switched formula, ate a new food (or if you ate a new food if you're breastfeeding) etc.

He could also be having a reaction to a particular fabric, or even the detergent you used to wash something. Only a doctor visit will be able to tell what may be triggering it.

Poor baby! I hope you can get to the bottom of it soon.

with care,
Heather
