Some people say if you tickle them that it could hurt them or they won't talk right away. Is that true?

Gentle tickling boosts development
by: Heather ;-)

Ana,

On the contrary, gentle tickling (and I mean GENTLE) can stimulate their brain and encourage development. Touch is extremely important to babies. Study after study has shown that without gentle touch, the brain does not develop correctly. It is an important design that is found only in human babies. That social awareness of being cuddled, played with and touched is vital in healthy brain growth.

However, for babies under 3 months, tickling won't really register. You can tickle those feet all day and get hardly a response. For those early months, close hugs, kisses, rocking, and just being held will provide the necessary brain stimulation.

Gentle tickling is one of the perks of having a baby. Their squeals of joy (as they get older) and excitement melt the heart and bond the soul.

So tickle away!
Heather

Your website is very helpful and I discovered a couple of great online stores. 'Cause I'm not a big reader, it is very nice that I can find the most important information through your website.

My baby refused all bottles until you showed me the MAM bottle. Thank you so much for the recommendation. I wouldn't have known about them if not for your website.
