Top Baby Books:
I Love You Stinky Face

Author:

    Lisa McCourt

Heather's Review:

I Love You Stinky Face has been a favorite around our house since Lauren was 3 months old. There is a good rhythm in the book, the illustrations are soft and perfect, and it provides great opportunities for tickles.

(Every time I'd get to the mom's part, I'd whisper it into their ear, causing tickles and giggles. "Again! Again!" was the most common response.)

An Excerpt:

Mama, Mama! What If I were a big scary ape?
Would you still love me then?

If you were a big scary ape, I would make your birthday cake out of bananas,
and I would tell you, "I love you, my big scary ape."

Perhaps an Unpleasant Surprise:

If you originally read the paperback version, you'll notice that the boardbook version is shorter and slightly different. That makes sense, since they are attempting to smash the story into less (thicker) pages. However, be warned. This didn't bother me too much, since the benefits of the sturdier board book was worth it to me. You'll have to decide which version is best for you.
