Eventually, you're so confused you don't even remember what you were supposed to receive for free! In the meantime, you've unwittingly given your contact information to dozens of companies who will sell it to dozens more...and you have switch email accounts in 6 months. (Does it show that I've been suckered on this before?)

Protecting Your Email

I put in my information and was JUST about to click "submit" when I decided I would actually read their privacy policy.

I'm so glad I did! Because there was no privacy policy! It was a clever look-a-like.

A bold blue type, underlined, prominent below the submit button. It was shouting "See! I'm legit! I have a privacy policy!" But as I tried to click on it, I discovered it was just a font style, with no link.

Sooo...instead of asking for an email before I "share the secret", I'll just give the information to you straight up.
