Feeling a little guilty about the baby book? This year's featured 1st place prize is a free download of Story Book Creator Plus, the digital software that lets you create your baby book easily and quickly from your digital photos.

Creative Memories, yes, the "Scrapbooker's Heaven" has developed this amazing software to let you create and publish a baby book that is just as amazing and individualized as your friend's down the street (and in half the time and cost!).

Click here to see a video that shows what you can do with this exciting (and very fun) software.

Side Note: The first half of the video discusses Memory Manager, the digital photo software organizer that Creative Memories has available. That software is not included in this prize package and is not required to run the Story Book Creator.

You can see more details here about Story Book Creator Plus.

Or, see how others have used this software to create jaw-dropping photo pages and self-published memory books.

Prize Value: $65.00

Signing Time Volume 1 & 2 Learning DVDs

baby picture contest 9
Signing Time is, in my opinion an essential infant resource for moms. I've used sign language with both of my babies (who have excellent hearing) and plan on using it again with my third.

Much of the frustration growing children have is in communication. They want something, but don't have the language ability to share it with you. So, they resort to screams, fits, and tantrums of frustration.

Teaching your baby sign language is an easy way to skip past those frustrating fits. I cannot recommend it enough. Signing Time is an award-winning program that makes learning and teaching sign language easy and is my signing program of choice.

For this contest, they are giving away their first two DVD volumes and CDs. The DVDs and CDs are created for babies as young as 3 months and as old as 3 years.

Signing Time has received a whole host of awards including a Parent's Choice, Dove Foundation Seal of Approval, National Parenting Publications Award, iParenting Media Award, Creative Child Magazine Preferred Choice Award, and others. Co-Founder Rachel Coleman was even nominated for an Emmy for "Outstanding Performer in a Children's Series".

Needless to say, it's a high-quality program that will bless our winning family tremendously.

Cook'n Recipe Organizing Software

baby picture contest 7
There's nothing like that 5:00 meal-time, dinner dilemma panic. In my experience, a lack of planning leads to pizza, corn dogs or other questionably-healthy dinners for my family.

I rely on meal planning software to stay organized. And my meal planning software of choice is Cook'n. I was so excited about this software, in fact, that I wrote an article detailing the things I like, and the things I'm not-so-hot about. You can see my review here.

Cook'n is a sponsor of this year's Cutest Halloween Baby of 2009 contest. They are giving away a free download of their software to the winner! This is a huge blessing to any cash-strapped parent.

Top 5 Reasons Cook'n is a Blessing to Any Parent

  • Grocery Shopping Assistant organizes your list by aisle and estimates your grocery costs for you.
  • Have chicken in the freezer? Do an instant search for things you can make at home with what you have.
  • Get the nutritional analysis of recipes. Grandma's Bran Muffin recipe has HOW much fat???
  • Color photos and (in some case) videos for those of us who like to "judge a recipe by it's photo".
  • TONS of digital cookbooks you can add in for slow-cooker recipes, low-fat recipes, diabetic recipes, gluten-free recipes...the list goes on and on.

Prize Value: $99.95

Creative Memories Digital PreDesigned Pages

baby picture test 5
The Runner-Up of the 2009 Cutest Baby Halloween Contest will also get some help with their baby book. Creative Memories consultant Sherri Stocker (see her site here) is donating two sets of digital predesigned pages that can be used with the free version of StoryBook Creator 3.0. (That's 60 pages of predesigned pages to choose from!)

You get to choose the two download page sets you like the best. This gives you the ability to make two 30-page memory books (or 1 60-page book).

Use these templates with the free Storybook creator 3.0 download ( found here), to create your baby's 1st-year book, Christmas memory book, Grandparent gift book, or others from your computer. Click here to view the predesigned page sets you can choose from.

Prize Value: $15.90 for two

Signing Time Story Time DVD

As I mentioned in the first prize description, Signing Time is an excellent program I highly recommend. Teaching my babies simple signs has saved a lot of tears (for both of us) over the past several years.

For our Runner-Up, Signing Time is giving away their newest creation, a DVD called Story Time. This DVD includes 6 stories that introduce the various signs for bugs, family members, activities, animals, vehicles, feelings, colors, fruits, and others.

By listening and watching the stories while the signs are being used, your baby will pick up even faster the signs he needs to share what he wants to say. ("No juice, milk please" etc.)

See the details on the newest Story Time DVD. Prize Value: $21.99
