2008 Halloween Baby Picture Contest

Thank you to all our contestants! The contest was a rousing success, I'm overwhelmed with the number of adorable babies out there! I've compiled a slide show of all the entries - so enjoy!

To recap, the three finalists were chosen by vistors to the EiR, and then the winner was chosen by subscribers to The Merry Mother eZine. Not a subscriber? Well, it's free and comes with a boat-load of goodies. (Peek at the goodies (and a sample issue) here.)

Halloween isn't the only season for contests! In fact, I'm feeling that February may be a good time for another one (they are so fun!)...so check back often through the Infant Blog, or subscribe to the eZine to be notified when it arrives!

Don't want to wait for the next EiR contest? The Cute Kid contest is year-round and offers an awesome prize! (25 Grand for College!)

Our sponsors were really generous this year. Please check them out below (and perhaps order an early Christmas gift or two!)

Thanks again for making the 1st Annual EiR Halloween Baby Contest such a success!!

Baby Signing Time DVDs and CDs

The Signing Time series has won 11 National Parenting Awards (including Parent's Choice), has been nominated for an Emmy Award in 2008, and has been featured on the Today Show and other popular programs.

If you're thinking about teaching sign language to your baby (something I highly recommend), they have the best resources available. Visit their website here.

The winner of this baby picture contest will receive a DVD/CD set especially designed for babies ages 3-36 months. The DVDs share popular songs you can sing (and sign) with your baby, teaching the basic signs for eat, drink, water, cereal, milk, mom, dad, sleep, and many others.

See what other moms have thought about this signing series here.

epres[h] Custom Teas

Halloween Baby Contest 2
{Mediterranean Minuet}
These exclusive hand-blended teas and herbal infusions are amazing. These high-quality teas are carefully selected and blended by tea-guru Laura (a mother of three herself!). She generously has created a special custom package of teas just for the winnner of the 2008 Halloween Baby Picture Contest. In your epres[h] experience you'll find...
  • Masala Chai ~ an indian blend of ground spices simply meaning "spiced tea"
  • Cinnamon Samba ~ warm, spicy cinnamon with a hint of orange - a great afternoon pick-me-up!
  • ImmuniTea ~ an echinacea blend full of vitamins and trace minerals to keep your body working at its best
  • Mediterranean Minuet ~ savory olive leaves lightened with sweet spearmint and fragrant roses
  • Interpretive Dance ~ is it a minty afternoon blend? is it a soothing cup for bedtime? it's all in your interpretation...
Are you new to tea? Laura is also including infusion directions (to get the best from every cup), and a free cotton muslin infuser. I wish you could smell what I'm smelling right now. The smell alone is relaxing, I can't imagine how great it will be to drink! Of course, if you can't wait until November, it is a long way away, you can purchase your own special blend at the epres[h] website.

Bella's Blessings Hair Clips

Bella's Blessings hair clips have been a long-time favorite of mine for both my girls. Originally designed by Lori for her newborn daughter, Isabella, these clips are fast becoming favorites for moms all over the US.

Distinguish your bald newborn as a girl right at the hospital. Using a special baby-safe solution, you can attach these adorable infant bows to her scalp. No more embarrassing, "Actually he's a she."

Don't have a girl in the family? The bows make excellent baby gifts! Peek at these popular hair clips.

SnapTotes Photo Purses

SnapTotes turns your favorite baby photo (perhaps the winning photo from the Halloween baby picture contest?) and uses technology to transpose your photo onto the bag of your choice. Purses, diaper bags, bucket bags, choose your style and then upload your photo.

As a contributor to this contest, they are offering an exclusive coupon code for the winner of the 2008 Halloween Baby Picture Contest. You can view their baby collection here for some great ideas.

Forever Footprints

As the mother of a five-year-old (did I really just type that?) I know how fast time passes. Capturing these memories, as many as I can as fast as I can, is important to me. These footprint (or handprint) kits give you everything you need to make a print and display it beautifully.

If you haven't seen these already, you must take a look. They come in four themes: Rapunzel's Castle (shown here), and Tea in the Garden for the girls, and In the Swamp and Pirate's Treasure for the boys.

The winner of the 2008 Halloween Baby Picture Contest will get to choose one of these four hand-painted designs to display their baby's precious footprint. Your grandkids will thank you for it.
