Why do insect-haters like me love the baby lady bug costume? Seriously, have you ever really looked at a ladybug? Not that cute. But then again, I'm admittedly baised against bugs.

(Yes, I realize they're helpful, so you can delete that nasty email you started writing.) It's just that they are so...alien looking. All those eyes, those crunchy shells, those legs... I'm giving myself the heebie-jeebies just thinking about them.

Even butterflies, the most beautiful of all insects, are down right freaky when you look too closely. The tube mouth, the multiple eyes...I'll just concentrate on the wings, thanks.

And yet, I will line up with the millions of other moms to dress up my baby like an insect. Ladybugs, butterflies, bumble bees, even the worm are transformed when cocooned around your little baby's face.
