The Baby Bunting Halloween Costume:
Rescuing Cold-Weather Parents Everywhere
As a mother living in the northern Northern Hemisphere, the baby bunting Halloween costume is like...well...let's just say I haven't been this happy for the holiday since
I discovered that log-shaped rice crackers make fantastic cockroaches and La Choy Noodles are near-perfect fried worms.
Why all the excitement? Because taking my infant outside in the typical warm-weathered baby costume at the end of October is just demanding, jumping up and down,
for a sick infant three days later.
In the past, I've resorted to tucking ump-teen blankets around the little tyke. But then, why buy a costume? ...because I don't want her to feel neglected when she sees pictures of her
older sisters in their costumes. (Is wasted money worth the cost of being guilt-free? YES.)
Or, during a particularly lean-year, (guilt-free be darned!) my wonderful husband "volunteered" to stay at home while we ventured out for loot. That was fine...until
we got home and my oldest wouldn't share. 
(Cue sopranos and trumpets.)
Enter the baby bunting Halloween costume.
Thanks for this heavenly creation, I tuck those little feeties in so warm and toasty that she's practically sweating when we get home. Not to mention that I get to parade by show-stopper
with the rest of my children, to the delight of the grandmothers at every porch.
(Do my older children actually get MORE candy as a result of my parade? Who's to say? All I know is they get a lot of "for your sister" treats that the toothless-little-wonder will never enjoy, but
which Daddy is happy to rescue.)
